Deep Tissue & Sports Massage

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on releasing tension in the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

This technique is designed to reach the deep sections of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibres.

Sports Massage is designed to address specific issues, injuries or ailments resulting from sports.   It is also very beneficial in preventing injuries.  It is recommended that individuals receive a regular massage both before and after playing sports or running a marathon, for example.

Both deep tissue massage and sports massages are vigorous and offer many benefits for active, athletic individuals who exercise regularly and heavily.

The purpose of both Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Massage is to is to improve muscle function, release deep muscle tension and stimulate the removal of toxins.  These types of massage can be beneficial for many physical problems, including sports injuries and chronic pain.  Because these styles of massage work very deeply, emotional issues can also be addressed, when these have been stored in the body.

For some individuals, there may be some soreness during or after the massage treatment, but this usually passes after a day or so.
